CURRENT RECIPIENTS

The Brazoria County A&M Club takes pride in helping our future Aggies, as well as giving back to the school we all love. Since 1985 this club has granted 113 scholarships totaling $103,850.  In 2022, the club awarded two $1,000 scholarships.  The recipients are: Jorge Alcantar from Brazosport High School, Sergio Buentello from Angleton High School, and Sydney Horak from Columbia High School.  Congratulations to these fine Aggies, and good luck at Texas A&M!

Yulini Angles

Columbia High School

Yulini graduated 9th in her class from Columbia High School. Prior to graduating high school, Yulini earned her Associates of Science degree from Brazosport College. Throughout high school, Yulini committed herself to serving others and completed over 160 community service hours. During high school Yulini was active in the Spanish Club and band. She also played soccer and basketball and engaged in many other clubs and activities. Yulini is both a National Honor Society and Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society inductee and graduated with endorsements in Arts and Humanities, Public Services and STEM. Beginning in the Fall of 2022, Yulini will be pursuing a degree in Biomedical Sciences from Texas A&M University and plans to become an oncologist.

 

 

 

Austin Morrow

Brazoswood High School

Austin is a graduate of Brazoswood High School. Austin remained active throughout high school and is an inductee into the National Honor Society. As a member of the Interact Club, Austin volunteered within his community. Through his involvement with Green People, Austin raised awareness about climate change and the effects of pollution on the environment. Building on his love for engineering, he completed multiple rocket engineering courses through which he built high-powered rockets and learned about the math behind such machines. Beginning in the Fall of 2022, Austin will be pursuing an engineering degree from the College of Engineering at Texas A&M University and plans to become a mechanical engineer.
